he Philippine Under 14 football team, better known as the Little Azkals, are shocking junior teams in Palermo, Italy after winning  four of their five friendly matches so far.
Most impressive of the team’s game so far was against Serie B club’s Regina Calcio, whom they demolished, 8-0.

  3. Send them to a bigger youth team tournament in june-august in Europe, like Norway Cup, Gothia Cup or Dana Cup, and then you will see how good or bad they are. Theyre are more likely to meet more variable and also better teams there from all over the world.

    1. Those are invitation only tournaments and national youth teams have never been invited and you can bet it'll stay that way!

    2. Those tournaments arent invitational tournaments only, but they do on some occasions invite clubs from different countries. Everyone is welcome to participate. Many countries send regional teams to those tournaments, and i bet they would accept the azkal U14 team if they showed interest.

    3. LOL! A regional teams are not national teams though are they?! And for the most part it is invitational, in other cases they can apply but obviously it's up to the people behind the tournament if that applying team gets selected to enter or not.

And not shit they invite teams from different countries! Just like the Makati Football School. They practically join every year, but they do so because they get INVITED!

    4. Yeah, but they can show interest, and they never say no to teams who are interested to join as long as the team can manage to go to Europe. They could do a tour like many brazilian and south american teams do. Travel from tournament to tournament, it costs money, but the experience would be great for the boys, and they would meet tough opponents, much tougher than the teams they met in Italy.

I know MFS has been there several times, so has Xavier and so on. Im sure the tournaments would be honored to have a national youth team playing there, and every year they talk about new teams joining the tournaments, and theyre all excited about it.

Stop the negativity. You always find something to bash on. Have you ever played in those tournaments? I played in those tournaments for almost a decade when i was younger. It was great, it was fun, and i have friends who arrange tournaments and who has worked for those tournaments, and i know for a fact, that if the U14 would like to join, they can.

And i never said that a regional team is the same as a national team, but if you dont see my point, then please do still keep your head in your ass.

Clubs get invited each year because they have a tradition of participating every year. It doesnt mean that the invitations are exclusive and that they dont invite other teams.

Get your facts straight. Just because youre mad at the world and philippine football in general, doesnt mean that you know squat about every tournament in the world.

      Have a good weekend dumbass.

  4. The real test how far the team has gone is when they go to Malaysia and play the likes of Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore etc.

I've heard that some of the players in this team are part of the have money-you'll travel contingent.

  6. This should be a yearly activity for the Little Azkals as they've proven that they can play against the best teams in Italy.
Why not try for UK training camp next year? there's a lot of filipino communities in there which means less expenses for the PFF and more exposure to our youth teams.

    1. Haha! I agree. Based on the name of the teams they've been playing, those are just random youth teams they're playing and therefore suck ass!
